Shea Butter
Butyrospermum parkii is a yellow, semi-solid, plant-based fatty substance derived from the Butyrospermum parkii tree, a member of the Saponataceae family. Butter can be extracted from the seeds, a substance chemically composed of a high fraction of triglycerides (stearic 37%, oleic 49%), responsible for its emollient, moisturizing, and skin-regenerating properties. Shea butter contains tocopherols (vitamin E), which act as natural antioxidants.
Rice Bran Oil
Rice is one of the world's oldest cultivated plants, native to Southeast Asia. Rice bran oil is obtained from the fat, protein, and vitamin-rich bran of rice, which accumulates during rice bran processing. It helps soothe reddened skin and is highly valued for its hydrating, emollient, and smoothing properties. It provides deep nourishment without altering the natural pH of the tissues.
Tea Tree Essential Oil
Tea tree oil is an essential oil derived from the Australian plant Melaleuca alternifolia (hence the name Melaleuca oil). This precious essential oil, which boasts numerous properties, is distilled from its leaves. Tea tree essential oil is among the most powerful natural remedies known: it has antibacterial, healing, anti-inflammatory, antifungal, and antiodorant properties, making it useful for combating skin irritations.
Oleolita of Mallow, Altea, Calendula
A blend of infusions with renowned properties, the infusion is obtained by macerating the dried flowers in oil from each plant. The Mallow infusion is derived from Malva sylvestris, which is excellent for soothing and nourishing the skin. The infusion obtained from the flowers of Althaea officinalis is rich in heteropolysaccharides (composed of mixtures of pentoses, hexoses, and uronic acids), which, thanks to the numerous hydroxyls present, are particularly hydrophilic and give the infusion extraordinary hydrating, emollient, and anti-reddening properties. Finally, the infusion obtained from the flowers of Calendula officinalis contains triglycerides and fatty acids, triterpene derivatives, carotenoids, and flavonoids. It has numerous beneficial properties for skin health, including eudermic, emollient, soothing, and softening properties.
Lavender Essential Oil
Lavender essential oil has soothing, antiseptic, and purifying properties. The oil extracted from Lavandula Angustifolia, a variety of lavender that grows in the Mediterranean region, is typically used. True lavender essence has especially soothing and elasticizing properties and is widely used. It helps soothe irritated and red coats; soothing is the main active function of lavender oil. Against dermatitis, lavender acts as a local anti-inflammatory and, within a few days, helps improve skin irritation. It also has refreshing and deodorizing properties.
